Counselling and
Play Therapy

Counselling can help to build your child's confidence and resilience. An emphasis is given on making a connection with your child, exploring their strengths, and finding ways to help them build effective coping strategies, develop stronger social skills, and develop positive self-esteem. Our therapeutic approaches are based on cognitive-behavioural and solution-focused models.

Play therapy, including modalities such as sand tray, puppetry, and expressive arts (e.g. drawing, painting, sculpture, collage) is used for children ages 5 to 12, with specific interventions designed to meet the needs of each child.  Expressive arts such as drawing, sandtray or sculpture is often used with adolescents as a form of self-expression, and is effective in fostering emotional wellness, increasing personal strengths and enhancing social relationships.

If you are seeking support for your child or adolescent, please reach out via email or phone call. A brief conversation will be the best way to determine if we are a fit for your needs and to make plans for the next steps.
Please note that we are not a crisis counselling service.
In person and virtual forms of counselling are available.
