School aged children ages 6 - 16

A psychoeducational assessment provides insight into your child's intellectual, behavioural, and academic abilities. This type of assessment can identify barriers that might be making learning difficult, and can provide a greater understanding of why a child or adolescent may be struggling in school. Following a comprehensive assessment, a report is generated which includes recommendations for home and school, with strategies that celebrate their strengths, as well as ways to help strengthen specific areas of need. 

Assessments can include different components, which may include:

• intellectual (cognitive) ability

• academic ability (reading, writing, spelling, math)

• behaviour 

• adaptive functioning
